Blueprints Market Products may include conceptual engineering systems, reference designs, technical studies, illustrative blueprints, architectural concepts, system architectures, preliminary specifications, diagrams, calculations, software structures, and other design materials.

Unless a Product-specific signed agreement expressly states otherwise, these materials are not certified construction documents, not approved manufacturing drawings, not building-consent documents, not site-specific engineering, and not a substitute for independent professional design, review, testing, certification, or regulatory approval.

Do not manufacture, construct, install, energise, pressurise, commission, sell, occupy, or operate any system derived from a Product until appropriately qualified professionals have completed all required analysis, validation, risk assessment, testing, certification, consenting, and approval for the specific application and jurisdiction.

1. Purpose of This Disclaimer

This Engineering, Architectural & Technical Disclaimer explains the status, limitations, intended use, validation requirements, and risk allocation applicable to Products and information supplied through Blueprints Market.

It is intended to prevent conceptual or preliminary materials from being mistaken for professionally certified, construction-ready, manufacturing-ready, or regulatory-approved documents.

2. Scope

This Disclaimer applies to all Blueprints Market Products and content, including:

  • Engineering blueprint packages.
  • Architectural and structural concepts.
  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and thermal systems.
  • CAD, BIM, mesh, parametric, and manufacturing files.
  • Diagrams, schematics, exploded views, renders, and animations.
  • Specifications, dimensions, calculations, estimates, tables, and material lists.
  • Software, firmware, control logic, HAL, application, and service architectures.
  • Assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing information.
  • Product descriptions, advertising statements, performance targets, and conceptual claims.
  • Technical communications, support responses, revisions, and supplementary documents.

3. Conceptual Engineering Status

Unless expressly identified otherwise in a signed Product-specific agreement, Products are supplied as conceptual engineering, reference, educational, research, feasibility, planning, or development materials.

Conceptual engineering may communicate an intended architecture, arrangement, function, sequence, or design direction without resolving every engineering, manufacturing, site, safety, legal, or regulatory requirement.

4. Not Construction-Ready by Default

A Product must not be treated as construction-ready merely because it contains:

  • Detailed dimensions.
  • Material descriptions.
  • Assembly sequences.
  • Structural diagrams.
  • CAD-style images.
  • Engineering terminology.
  • Performance estimates.
  • Manufacturing notes.
  • Revision numbers or title blocks.
  • A statement that dimensions are represented at real-world scale.

Construction readiness requires project-specific professional responsibility, analysis, documentation, coordination, and approval.

5. Not Manufacturing-Ready by Default

Products must not be used directly for production tooling, procurement, fabrication, assembly, quality release, or serial manufacture unless the required manufacturing validation has been completed.

Manufacturing readiness may require:

  • Complete tolerances, fits, finishes, and datum schemes.
  • Material grades, conditions, certifications, and traceability.
  • Weld, fastener, adhesive, coating, and heat-treatment specifications.

6. No Professional Engineering Certification

Publication by Blueprints Market does not mean that a Product has been reviewed, approved, certified, signed, or sealed by a Chartered Professional Engineer, licensed engineer, registered architect, building consent authority, certification body, testing laboratory, regulator, or other authorised professional.

Where a Product has received a particular review or certification, that status must be expressly stated and supported by the relevant documentation.

7. No Architectural Certification

Architectural concepts, plans, elevations, layouts, visualisations, and spatial studies are not automatically suitable for building consent, resource consent, accessibility compliance, fire design, occupancy approval, or construction.

8. Site-Specific Design Required

  • Geotechnical engineers.
  • Architects and licensed building practitioners.
  • Software, firmware, cybersecurity, and functional-safety specialists.

10. Competence and Scope of Practice

A professional should accept responsibility only within their competence, authority, and lawful scope of practice.

The purchaser or project owner is responsible for confirming qualifications, registration status, insurance, experience, jurisdictional authority, and suitability.

11. Calculations, Analysis, and Testing

All calculations, analysis, testing, and examination necessary for the intended use must be carried out or arranged by the responsible parties.

Depending on the Product, this may include:

  • Thermal, vibration, acoustic, fatigue, and modal analysis.
  • Electrical load, fault, insulation, EMC, and grounding analysis.

  • Software, firmware, network, cybersecurity, and failure-recovery testing.

12. Dimensions and Tolerances

Dimensions may be conceptual, nominal, estimated, rounded, illustrative, or incomplete unless expressly identified as verified manufacturing dimensions.

The responsible engineer or manufacturer must verify:

13. Materials

15. Performance Targets and Estimates

A component’s rated life does not automatically establish the service life of the complete system.

32. Installation and Commissioning

Installation and commissioning must be performed by competent and, where required, licensed persons using approved procedures.

Commissioning should verify:

  • Correct assembly and configuration.
  • Protective systems and interlocks.
  • Electrical, structural, pressure, thermal, and software safety.
  • Calibration and performance.
  • Documentation, labels, warnings, and records.

33. Operation and Maintenance

Safe operation depends on correct operating limits, inspections, maintenance, calibration, replacement intervals, software updates, environmental conditions, recordkeeping, and trained personnel.

A Product does not replace a complete operation and maintenance programme.

34. Inspection and Monitoring

Safety-critical and performance-critical systems require appropriate inspection, monitoring, testing, and acceptance criteria throughout their lifecycle.

35. Repairs, Alterations, and Upgrades

Repairs, substitutions, alterations, software changes, firmware changes, upgrades, and component replacements can affect safety, certification, performance, warranty, and compliance.

They require controlled engineering change review and revalidation where appropriate.

36. Decommissioning and Disposal

Design and implementation should address safe shutdown, energy isolation, depressurisation, dismantling, demolition, hazardous materials, battery disposal, recycling, and environmental obligations.

37. Building Code and Consent Requirements

Building work must comply with the applicable building law, code, planning requirements, and local authority processes.

In New Zealand, most building work requires a building consent, and even exempt work must comply with the Building Code and other applicable law. The project owner and responsible professionals must determine what approvals are required.

38. Resource, Planning, and Environmental Approvals

A building consent does not necessarily address resource consent, planning, environmental, heritage, water, discharge, noise, traffic, land-use, or other approvals.

All applicable approvals must be identified independently.

39. Workplace Health and Safety

Responsible parties must identify hazards, eliminate or minimise risks so far as required, carry out necessary analysis and testing, and provide adequate information for safe use, construction, maintenance, decommissioning, and disposal.

Temporary works, lifting, shoring, propping, sequencing, transport, site access, excavation, erection, weather protection, and construction methods require separate competent design and supervision.

41. Product Safety and Market Compliance

The manufacturer, importer, distributor, and seller remain responsible for their own statutory and contractual obligations.

Blueprints Market does not guarantee that a regulator, consent authority, certifier, insurer, lender, customer, contractor, or professional will accept a Product or any implementation derived from it.

44. No Guarantee of Commercial Success

No guarantee is made regarding market demand, profitability, funding, investment, manufacturing cost, sale price, licensing revenue, customer acceptance, insurance, finance, or commercial viability.

45. Cost and Schedule Estimates

Costs, quantities, schedules, weights, labour, manufacturing times, and project durations may be preliminary estimates and must be independently verified.

46. Third-Party Standards and Technologies

References to standards, software, platforms, protocols, products, components, companies, or technologies do not guarantee current compatibility, licensing, availability, certification, or endorsement.

47. Standards and Law May Change

The responsible party must use the versions applicable to the project, jurisdiction, contract, and approval process.

Users must perform independent checks and must not assume that apparent detail eliminates the need for verification.

49. Conflict Between Documents

No user should select whichever value appears most convenient.

50. Revision and Change Management

Users must confirm that they are using the correct approved revision. Changes must be documented, reviewed, validated, approved, and communicated to affected parties.

Images, renders, diagrams, and marketing visuals may be illustrative, not to scale, simplified, stylised, or generated for communication.

Access to a Product does not transfer their professional or statutory duties to Blueprints Market.

59. Purchaser and Project-Owner Responsibilities

The purchaser or project owner is responsible for:

  • Selecting appropriately qualified professionals.
  • Providing complete and accurate project information.
  • Obtaining approvals, permits, finance, insurance, and land rights.
  • Managing scope, interfaces, procurement, construction, and quality.

60. Manufacturer Responsibilities

A manufacturer is responsible for manufacturing competence, process control, materials, suppliers, testing, traceability, conformity, instructions, warnings, product safety, quality, recalls, and applicable law.

61. Supplier and Distributor Responsibilities

Suppliers and distributors must independently verify that the products, information, instructions, certifications, and representations they provide are accurate and legally compliant.

Owners and operators remain responsible for safe use, authorised operation, maintenance, inspection, recordkeeping, training, emergency procedures, changes, and end-of-life management.

64. Stop-Work Obligation

Work should stop where there is a material uncertainty, conflict, unsafe condition, missing approval, unverified assumption, uncontrolled change, or reason to believe that continuing may cause harm or non-compliance.

65. No Emergency or Safety Advice

Website content and ordinary support communications are not emergency, incident-response, or site-safety services.

In an emergency, stop work or operation where safe to do so, isolate hazards, follow the approved emergency plan, and contact the appropriate emergency services, regulator, competent professional, manufacturer, or site authority.

66. No Legal, Financial, or Insurance Advice

Products and support do not constitute legal, financial, tax, investment, procurement, insurance, or regulatory advice.

67. Licence Does Not Equal Approval

A Product-specific signed agreement may define additional warranties, deliverables, validation responsibilities, acceptance criteria, limitations, support, insurance, and risk allocation.

This Disclaimer continues to apply except to the extent that the signed agreement expressly and specifically replaces a provision.

70. “As Is” Basis

To the maximum extent permitted by law and except for an express signed warranty, Products and technical content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

71. No Implied Warranties Beyond Law

No implied warranty of merchantability, fitness, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, compatibility, construction readiness, manufacturing readiness, certification, or uninterrupted availability is given except to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts, or modifies a mandatory right, remedy, guarantee, duty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any permitted business-to-business contracting-out arrangement must satisfy the applicable legal requirements and be expressly agreed where required.

Subject to mandatory law and any signed agreement, Alpha & Omega Limited, Blueprints Market, and their officers, employees, contractors, and contributors are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from reliance on conceptual or unvalidated materials.

Any applicable liability cap or allocation for a commercial project must be stated in the relevant signed agreement rather than assumed from this public page.

74. Examples of Excluded Loss

Subject to law and contract, excluded loss may include:

78. Reporting Errors or Safety Concerns

Suspected errors, conflicts, defects, or safety concerns should be reported promptly through the official contact channels with the Product name, document number, revision, page or section, and supporting information.

Report a Technical Concern

79. Corrective Revisions

Blueprints Market may issue corrections, revisions, withdrawals, safety notices, or updated disclaimers.

Users are responsible for monitoring relevant updates and determining their effect on existing work with competent professional assistance.

80. Recall and Field Action

Manufacturers, suppliers, installers, owners, and operators must maintain appropriate processes for complaints, incidents, corrective actions, field notices, repairs, software or firmware updates, withdrawals, and recalls.

82. Document Hierarchy

Unless a signed agreement states otherwise, the relevant order of priority is:

  1. A signed Product-specific commercial or enterprise agreement.
  2. The completed schedules to that agreement.
  3. The applicable Product Licence Agreement.
  4. The Master Licensing Agreement.
  5. This Engineering Disclaimer.
  6. The Marketplace Terms and other Website policies.

83. Governing Law

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of New Zealand, subject to mandatory laws and rights applicable in another relevant jurisdiction.

84. No Waiver

Failure or delay in relying on this Disclaimer or enforcing a related agreement does not waive any right or remedy.

85. Severability
